The North Lancashire Extended Access Service is available for patients registered with Ash Trees Surgery, Bay Medical Group, Lancaster Medical Practice, and Queen Square Surgery.
The Service includes:
- WEEKDAY pre-bookable and same day general practice appointments from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm
- WEEKEND pre-bookable and same day appointments on both Saturday and Sunday

Appointment types
GP appointments are for all routine conditions however may exclude patients with on-going chronic conditions which require continuity of care from their usual GP, eg, patients with severe on-going mental health issues.
Chronic Disease Nurse Clinics provide annual reviews for patients with a long-term condition, eg, COPD, Asthma, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
Health Care Assistants can carry out venepuncture (blood testing), ECGs and Wound care.
Patients can book these appointments via their practice receptionist as usual. To obtain an appointment outside practice opening hours, call your normal practice number and your call will be diverted to the Extended Access Service.
Only patients who have a pre-booked appointment will be given access to the practice to see the Clinician.
