Surgery Parking
Due to location, Queen Square Medical Practice has no parking accessible to patients.
Caton Health Centre has a carpark, that is for the use of patients who have an appointment, or are visiting the practice only.
Parking is managed by an independent parking enforcement provider.
Our car parks have very limited spaces and are reserved strictly for patients attending appointments. In the past, we experienced significant problems with members of the public parking on site and leaving vehicles for extended periods, which prevented patients from accessing care. As a result, the practice had to put a formal parking management system in place.
How the Parking System Works
- Parking is available for patients attending appointments only
- Vehicles must be registered on arrival, in line with the instructions displayed on site
- Clear signage is displayed throughout the car parks explaining:
- how to register your vehicle
- the time limits
- the enforcement rules
The responsibility for reading the signage and correctly registering vehicle details rests with the driver.
Parking Charge Notices (PCNs)
Parking Charge Notices are issued directly by the parking company, not by the practice.
Common reasons PCNs are issued include:
- Failure to register a vehicle
- Incorrect vehicle registration details entered
- Parking outside permitted hours
The Practice’s Role
- The parking system is operated independently
- The practice does not issue PCNs
- We are not obliged to cancel or appeal PCNs on behalf of patients
The parking system is in place to protect patient access to the practice.
It is not intended to unfairly impact our patients, but it does rely on all users following the instructions provided on site.
If you need assistance to register your vehicle, please ask our receptionists, who will be happy to help you.
