The North Lancashire Enhanced Access Service is available for patients registered with Ash Trees Surgery, Bay Medical Group, Lancaster Medical Practice, and Queen Square Surgery.
The Service includes:
- WEEKDAY pre-bookable and same day general practice appointments from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm
- WEEKEND pre-bookable and same day appointments on both Saturday and Sunday

Saturday – 8 am to 2.30 pm (for Health Care Assistant and Practice Nurse Appointments providing blood / smear and long-term condition reviews)
Sunday – 8 am to 2 pm (for GP appointments, Health Care Assistant and Practice Nurse Appointments providing blood / smear and long-term condition reviews)
Appointment types
GP appointments are for all routine conditions however may exclude patients with on-going chronic conditions which require continuity of care from their usual GP, e.g. patients with severe on-going mental health issues.
Chronic Disease Nurse Clinics provide annual reviews for patients with a long-term condition, eg, COPD, Asthma, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
Health Care Assistants can carry out venepuncture (blood testing), ECGs and Wound care.
Patients can book these appointments via their practice receptionist as usual.
Only patients who have a pre-booked appointment will be given access to the practice to see the Clinician.
